Prose is a note-taking application that provides semantic search capabilities, allowing you to find related notes based on meaning and context. The service requires a Google account for authentication.

User Accounts

To use Prose, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Google account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account

User Content

You retain ownership of all notes and content you create in Prose. By using the service, you grant Prose a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service, including generating vector embeddings for semantic search.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Prose to:

• Store or transmit illegal content
• Violate the rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use the service for any commercial purpose without authorization

Third-Party Services

Prose integrates with Google for authentication and OpenAI for generating embeddings. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

Disclaimer and Limitations

Prose is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prose shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using Prose at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
